about bree

I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2003 and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

I graduated from the Georgia Medical Institute in Atlanta Georgia. Since then, I have been practicing massage therapy alongside doctors of chiropractic, physical therapist and other licensed bodyworkers.

In addition to my specialties (Neuromuscular Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release), I am trained and certified in Graston Technique Therapy, which utilizes instruments to help healing in the soft tissue and fascia, Cupping Therapy and lower-body Muscle Activation Technique (MAT).

As an avid runner I understand the strains and injury that can sometimes go along with physical activity and I am passionate about the work I do.  I will intentionally create a massage that will suit your needs in recovery, post-surgery or to simply feel better.

I DON'T CHASE YOUR PAIN.

I WORK HARD TO FIGURE OUT WHY YOU HAVE IT.

Over the years I have been fortunate enough to work alongside excellent Doctors of chiropractic, physical therapists and other licensed body workers. These relationships have given me a broad understanding of how the body works and moves, and has helped me perfect the way I treat in my own practice.

Some of my favorite local practitioners are South Riding Chiropractic, Heitmann Physical Therapy and Wellness, and Healthy Living Acupuncture and Wellness

Bree has been a lifesaver for me!  I was having issues with a tight hamstring for months.  My chiropractor recommended Bree.  She worked diligently with me, my doctor, physical therapist and other specialists to figure out the source of my problem and manage my discomfort to allow me to continue exercising throughout my rehab.  As a someone who enjoys extreme exercise via CrossFit and bodybuilding, Bree is critical to my body’s ability to recover and get stronger.  She not only takes the time to address all of my pain areas but helps me understand how and why my body is reacting the way it is, how the neuromuscular pathways work, and how to maximize my performance.  She recommends at home recovery protocols and shows genuine care for my well-being.  She is intuitive and thus able to strike the delicate balance of knowing when I need deep tissue work or just an overall refresh for relaxation and release from emotional or mental stress.  Her expertise as a massage therapist is only matched by her kindness, warmth, and empathy.  She is not only an incredible massage therapist but an amazing person as well!
